GBJ2508L rectifier bridge is used in the small three-electric system of new energy vehicles

Introduction to the new energy "three small electrics" system

The power system of new energy electric vehicles is different from that of traditional fuel vehicles. The "three electrics" replace the traditional fuel tank, engine and gearbox. The "three electrics" mainly include the "big three electrics" of the drive system (power battery, motor controller and motor), and the "three small electrics" of the power system (on-board charger OBC, DC/DC converter and high-voltage distribution box PDU). Among them, the on-board charger OBC is one of the key components that determine the charging power and efficiency of electric vehicles, and power semiconductors such as diodes and IGBTs, SiC MOSFETs, etc. are the key components to realize the conversion of OBC DC and AC.

The following mainly introduces the Low-VF power bridge stack used by DIYI Elec Tech  for 3.3KW and 6.6KW on-board OBC.

 

Product Introduction

(1) GBJ is a direct-insert DIP package, and the assembly process is the mainstream Clip structure in the industry

(2) These two packages are widely used in white and black appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, new energy OBCs and other switching power supply designs

(3) This GBJ package product has good mechanical stress resistance and is suitable for direct-insert or 90-degree bending assembly

(4) At the application end, our company can provide ordinary rectifier bridges, fast recovery rectifier bridges, LOW-VF rectifier bridges and high lightning resistance products

(5) At present, the current of GBJ products can reach 50A and the voltage is 1000V; the forward voltage VF can be as low as 0.92V

(6) Our company's rectifier bridge stack products all use GPP photoresist technology & passivation protection design & are high-reliability products & low-temperature rise.

 

Among them, MBRJ40200CT is used for low-voltage side charging

Among them, MURJ2060CT is used for high-voltage side charging

It is a new trend in the future for the on-board charger (OBC) to change from unidirectional topology to bidirectional topology to improve system efficiency, which can meet the new application scenarios such as vehicles supplying power to homes, vehicles supplying power to outdoor travel electrical equipment, vehicles to the grid, and vehicles charging vehicles.

 

As shown in Figure 1, it is a unidirectional OBC topology. Unidirectional charging can only charge the battery from the grid. The single-phase topology PFC boost converter widely used in the front stage does not support bidirectional operation. The rear stage DC-DC converter usually adopts LLC resonant topology, which is a unidirectional topology. In the reverse working mode, the voltage gain of the converter will be limited, thereby reducing its performance.
